Cuyuna Range Youth Center

Mission Statement

The Cuyuna Range Youth Center will provide a stable environment while empowering youth to make positive life decisions.

Program and Volunteer Coordinator

My name is Chris Swanson, the Program and Volunteer Coordinator at the Cuyuna Range Youth Center. I am  ecstatic to be here and wanted to take the chance to introduce myself!

I grew up in the BLA and graduated from Brainerd High School in 2009. I went to school at Liberty University in Virginia and finished with my Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling: Marriage and Family Therapy.

My hobbies include: music, movies, gaming, and fitness. I also have a certification in Personal Fitness Training. I have traveled all over the country and lived in places such as Virginia, Texas, and Colorado before finding my way back home to Baxter! I have worked with students ages 7-21 for over a decade now and have loved every minute of it.

I want to be able to support your student in whatever capacity that I can. I want them
to be equipped with the necessary life skills to be successful in school and after graduation.

So while the staff, volunteers, and myself will be focusing on providing a fun and safe environment with activities for your students to hang out we also want to provide plenty learning opportunities! Please note that we are always looking for volunteers! Please contact me if you are interested.

Thank You

Chris Swanson
